Madano in the news
While we manage many media relations projects for clients, it has been rarer that Madano itself has hit the headlines. However, in the last few weeks this has changed a little with some significant interest in the things we are doing, both at work and outside!
First, we were delighted to see that the Daily Telegraph, which has led the news agenda on MPs expenses, wanted to cover a story from our Class of 2010 analysis, looking at the educational backgrounds of the likely new intake of parliamentarians. James Kirkup, the Telegraph’s political correspondent wrote a great piece earlier this month with the headline: Almost one in three MPs will have been educated at private school after next election.The full article is available here.
In a similar vein, the leading legal publication, The Lawyer, has just run a feature on the new intake of MPs who come from the legal profession, ‘‘Lawyers in Parliament: The Commons Touch‘ again based on our Class of 2010 research.
However, last but by no means least our Public Affairs and Class of 2010 guru, Tim Carr, was on Radio 4 this Sunday 26th July being interviewed by the BBC’s Shaun Ley on The World this Weekend . It’s at 17 minutes on this link:
We have had a number of recent mentions in PR Week for a variety of recent client wins and news of our affiliate membership of the UK Contractors Group has received coverage in key trade magazines such as Contract Journal, Construction News and Building.
However, almost most importantly, our intrepid colleague, Rowan Baker was a key part of the 50 year celebrations of that British style icon, the Mini. Rowan and his beast of a vehicle were pictured in the Daily Mail’s cavalcade of Mini motors. Look out for the blue one!
