Quantifying the rising stars from the Class of 2010
The future face of British politics is changing as the star MPs from the class of 2010 turbocharge the emergence of a new political class consisting of charismatic media stars, heavyweight careerists and “Westminster Village” influencers. The relative power of the traditional MP with Parliament alone as a base, is being eclipsed as these stars set new standards and rip up old rules through extraordinary levels of commitment, connectivity and the courting of controversy.
These are some of the findings from a new report by the Madano Partnership, a London-based strategic business communication consultancy which has for the first time attempted to quantify and track the building of media and parliamentary influence among the new MPs of the Class of 2010.
