We provide our client network the opportunity to build new relationships and engage with relevant stakeholders through a programme of Madano lunches.
These small, informal gatherings are by invitation only and are designed to provide a forum for senior executives to discuss some of the most important challenges faced by companies today. Each lunch is held under Chatham House Rules and based around a theme chosen by the speaker.
The first Madano lunch was held in February 2008 with Sir David King, Director of the Smith School of Enterprise and Environment at the University of Oxford and the UK government’s former Chief Scientific Adviser, who introduced the topic ‘The Business of Climate Change’. We have since had a number of guest speakers talk about a variety of topics including ‘Cities: how do we support them and how they drive economic performance’, ‘Britain in 2011 – where are the public and businesses and what does the future hold?’ and ‘Modernising National Infrastructure – a vehicle for social and business recovery’.
