IMS provides some of the most comprehensive market intelligence within the pharmaceutical industry. The industry in the UK is currently undergoing a major transition due to reform of the NHS and government regulation.

Brief

To review internal business positioning and support the senior executive team in managing the restructuring and change of IMS Health UK following its acquisition by affiliates of TPG Capital, L.P and the CPP Investment Board.

Madano needed to quickly cut through the technical detail of IMS’s services to understand the business, its strategy and what its proposition, positioning and messaging should be across its UK business and product offerings.

Clear Thinking

Working with IMS through detailed workshops, Madano reviewed and revised corporate and product messaging to enable the management team to navigate its way clearly through a major restructuring and the change issues. With a clearly defined strategy and messaging platform in place, an integrated internal and external communications programme could be executed, while providing additional coaching and advisory services to senior executives through the implementation phase.
